The East Falls Development Corporation’s original 25-year Riverfront Master Plan highlighted a variety of opportunities to develop community-oriented activities in convenient, centrally located open space throughout the District. The East Falls Farmers Market is a perfect example of this recommendation in action. Now in its 16th year, the Farmer’s Market is the direct result of EFDC’s partnerships with various non-profit organizations to provide fresh food to underserved urban neighborhoods. The Market, in its present location at EFDC’s Twin Bridges Parking Lot, has grown exponentially in recent years under the direction of a dedicated group of volunteers working with EFDC to attract neighbors and visitors to the business district.
