It’s great to meet you!
I am thrilled to join the East Falls Development Corporation as Executive Director and to have the opportunity to support such a special Philadelphia neighborhood.
What stands out most to me about East Falls is how much it already has to offer: its location, its small businesses and restaurants, and the easy access to the Schuylkill River and trails. There’s a strong foundation here, and I’m excited to build on that momentum by working with local businesses, residents, and partners to continue growing East Falls as a place people want to visit, invest in, and call home.
I have spent my career in community-focused work through local and regional nonprofit organizations and am passionate about the role EFDC has in the community here. Most recently, I worked on the external affairs team at the University City Science Center leading fundraising efforts across federal, state, and local sources and supporting initiatives that advance regional innovation and economic growth.
East Falls was my first home when I moved to Philadelphia, and it quickly became a place I truly love. Over the past few weeks, I’ve already been inspired by the passion and dedication of the EFDC board and the local business community. It’s clear that this is a special neighborhood with tremendous opportunity ahead. 2026 has so much in store and I’m looking forward to exciting things happening in our corridor including:
- New bike racks, benches, and trees along Ridge Avenue in partnership with the PA Department of Community and Economic Development and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation
- The third annual East Falls Fest on October 17, 2026
- The continued growth of the East Falls Business Association and the successful implementation of the first round of revolving loan funds distributed in partnership with PACDC.
I look forward to getting to know many of you in the months to come and to working together to support a vibrant and thriving East Falls.
Best wishes,
Catie
